Eco-park infrastructure in Veszprem: what is planned on site

The Veszprem eco-park is conceived as a self-contained setting for year-round living, where day-to-day errands do not mean a trip into town. This article lists what is planned on site under the developer's architectural concept and floor plans. The complex is under construction, so this is the make-up under the plan, not a description of a finished property.
In the block, on the ground floor
- A minimarket of about 17 m².
- A cafe and restaurant with a dining hall of about 60 m² and its own kitchen.
- A kindergarten of about 85 m²: a play area, a changing room and its own WC.
- A spa and a jacuzzi with changing rooms.
- Reception: the entrance leads to a staffed reception, which is planned to be staffed at all times.
In the courtyards and grounds
- A playground in the courtyards between the blocks.
- A sports court: tennis and padel all year round.
- A swimming pool for swimming and relaxing.
- A barbecue area for shared meals.
- Paths for walking, running and cycling.
Parking and energy
The grounds have shared parking spaces for residents and guests, with electric vehicle charging points in the car park. The parking canopies are built from solar panels, so the site generates part of its own power.
Security and privacy
The perimeter is fenced and entry is controlled. The grounds border woodland along the whole perimeter.
Getting to town
At present a shuttle bus runs to the city once an hour. For an initial period after opening the developer plans to fund a bus of its own; for now that is an intention, not a running service. By the developer's estimate the school is about 8 minutes away by car and Balaton Best Yacht Club about 14 minutes.
What an investor should keep in mind
Infrastructure raises the appeal of a project, but it costs money in itself: who maintains the cafe, the spa, the reception and the grounds, and at whose expense, is determined by the contract and the owners' contributions. Find that out before you buy. More on checking documents and terms is in "What to check before investing in a new development".
The site plan and everything inside the perimeter are shown on the location page. The region, and how the northern shore of Balaton differs from the southern, is covered in "Why investors look at Balaton property".
